Current Stacking Ring

My Current Stacking Ring is a lightweight, handcrafted band with a wider textured look and an almost-there feel on your finger.

Each ring begins as 18 gauge wire that is individually embossed and pressed, transforming the round wire into a thin, approximately 1.4 mm-wide band. Pressing the metal gives the texture more surface area while keeping the finished ring surprisingly lightweight.

Wear just one for a simple line of texture or choose multiples at checkout to create your own stack.

Lightweight by Design

These rings have a wider appearance, but they are intentionally thin and lightweight.

The 18 gauge wire is embossed and pressed into an approximately 1.4 mm-wide profile, reducing the depth of the metal while spreading the texture across a wider surface.

The result is a ring with plenty of visual texture without the weight or bulk of a heavier band.

They're especially comfortable when worn in multiples—which is convenient, because stopping at one can be difficult.

The CURRENT Collection

The CURRENT Collection explores texture, movement, and the way metal changes as it's worked by hand.

Rather than simply applying a finish to the surface of a finished ring, the texture becomes part of the metal itself through embossing and pressure.

Each ring will have its own subtle variations in texture and pattern placement.

No two Currents will flow exactly the same way.

The thin profile makes Current rings easy to wear alone and even better for stacking.

Combine several Current rings together, mix your metals, or tuck one between your favorite charm, crystal, ripple, smooth, or hammered rings.

They're an easy way to add another layer of texture without adding a lot of bulk to your stack.

Handmade Process

Each Current ring begins as 18 gauge wire in your selected metal.

The wire is individually embossed, pressed into its thin approximately 2mm-wide profile, formed into your selected ring size, soldered closed, refined, and polished by hand.

Every ring is made to order in our Pennsylvania studio using traditional metalsmithing techniques.

Because the texture is created individually, slight differences in pattern and finish are part of the handmade character of each piece.
